What we collect, and what we never collect

What a barrier report contains

• The building and the exact spot you describe.
• The barrier category and your description of the problem.
• How much the barrier affects your access.
• The date and time of submission.

What we never collect

• Medical diagnoses or health records. We only ever ask about functional access needs.
• Your location in the background, or any tracking across other websites.
• Any requirement to disclose a disability in order to use the platform.

How reports are handled

• Reports are held for moderation and are not published automatically.
• Reporters are never publicly identified, whether or not they are signed in.
• Anonymous submission stores no link to your account at all. Signed-in submissions store a reference so staff can follow up, and it is never shown publicly.
• Image upload is not enabled yet, because moderation must be in place before any user-submitted image can be displayed.

Accessibility information itself

Accessibility information affects real-world safety and independence, so each record is labelled as verified university data, a community report, or not yet verified, with the date it was last checked. During the prototype every record is demo data and describes no real campus.
